What cartridge are you running? Is one of them a 6mm Creedmoor?
6mm creedmoor it’s the same rifle just different thermal on it. I put them together in one picture for comparison. The lighting was a little different which is why the camo looks slightly different.

I see. I would like to ask you a few specific questions. If you would rather not answer them here, I could should you a PM. Thanks.

I'm thinking seriously about doing another 6 CM. I've already done one with a 24" CF barrel. What barrel length do you prefer to run on your suppressed rifles?

What brand of suppressors are you running? I'm new to running cans. I currently have 2 suppressors. I'm curious to your preferences.

Last, do you have any preference on any particular type of suppressor cover?

Thanks,
Steve

So are you looking at doing a bolt action or semi auto 6mm creedmoor? What are you planning on doing with it? I run from 16”-26” on different guns I shoot suppressed. I only have one suppressor currently but I’m looking at getting another one soon. I need a good flow through suppressor for my gas guns.

I'm going to build another bolt gun. My first 6mm CM was built on a BAT Vesper short action. I had a 24" Proof CF barrel turned up for it. It is light and handy, but with a 6" suppressor, it gets a little long to be convenient for hunting. It works well for long range target shooting. I love to shoot. I would say 99% of my shooting these days is match shooting or long range steel. This rifle shoots so well, and handles so nicely, I really don't want to burn up a $900 barrel shooting steel at the range.

I tend to do lots of experimenting with reloading and shooting. One of my more successful experiments was a 22" Remington Varmint contour in 6.5 Creedmoor. The short, thicker barrel really shot well. It was heavier than the 6 CM, but still balanced well and felt good. It is on the same action as above. I have been a 6.5 fan since before 6.5's were popular. But since I started shooting a variety of 6mm's, my preferences have changed. I acquired a Bartlein 6mm 7.5 twist blank in #13 contour, which is the same as the Remington Varmint contour. I am thinking I would like to have it cut at 22", and threaded for a suppressor.

I know you are a big 6 CM fan. In fact, your YouTube videos are what really piqued my interest in the cartridge. I'm glad I tried one. It's really a great little cartridge, capable of more heavy lifting than most folks realize. I was wondering if you had any experience shooting the cartridge with shorter barrels. It seems you have a good bit of experience. Your input would be appreciated.

I'm also curious about what brand of suppressor you are running, and what brand is your cover.

Thanks for your help,
Steve
